Acadia National Park

Maine
Unlike most national parks, Acadia is not a single tract of land but a mosaic of smaller areas scattered across islands and in-between local communities. Together, they feels like an integral system, with hotels and campgrounds, cafes and restaurants, hikes and rides, views and entertainments. And that attracts a lot of visitors during the season. Nevertheless, I love my time there and know how to find solitude, so much needed to enjoy the beauty of this place.
